The Aluminum Wedge Dead-end is an assembly consisting of a cast aluminum alloy body with fiberglass reinforced polyamide wedges that are UV and track-resistant. A flexible stainless steel or galvanized steel bale is incorporated to attach the dead-end grip to the deadend structure.

The Aluminum Wedge Dead-end Grips are designed to grip the covered conductor when it is under tension. They are used to dead end the covered conductor at a dead-end structure when the line is terminated or is making a greater than 90 degree turn.
